You’ve seen this house on Ghost Hunters and soon on Ghost Adventures. Now investigate for yourself! Built in 1875, this Victorian mansion in Gardner, Massachusetts, was originally the castle of chair manufacturer Sylvester K. Pierce. But during tough times in the 1960s, this building turned into a boarding house and slipped out of the Pierce family’s hands forever.
Some women living here were desperate for money and turned to prostitution, and the once stately reputation of the mansion fell into disrepair along with the building. One man burned to death in bed. Was it a drunken accident, or something more?
There have been seven documented deaths in this house.
Eventually the mansion was abandoned altogether… but only for a while. This place has a charm that calls you back to it.
In November of 2008, Edwin and Lilly bought this house and figured the 10,000 square-foot mansion would be their dream home. It soon turned into a nightmare.
What started as an almost playful presence turned much darker and eventually began taking control of the couple—influencing them and pitting them against each other. In October of 2011, they reached their breaking point and moved out. They still own the mansion, and it sits mostly empty, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing going on inside.
Visitors have seen apparitions, been touched, and tons of paranormal evidence has poured out of the building. Don’t miss this great event!
